Oregon State University has an upcoming Permaculture Design Certificate with a PRO option starting January 3, 2022.

Permaculture design is a whole-systems design approach to developing sustainable human settlements and institutions. Rooted in horticulture and agriculture, permaculture design also touches on regional planning, ecology, animal husbandry, technology, architecture and international development.

Two Tracks to Choose

We offer the standard Permaculture Design Certificate course as well as an expanded version: the PDC Pro.

PDC: For the home gardener or hobbyist wanting to design their own site or friends’ sites and learn the permaculture design curriculum, but not make a professional living from being a permaculture designer.

PDC PRO: For the person wanting to make permaculture a vocation and gain the skills of a professional designer. This course includes all the curriculum required for the internationally recognized certificate.

Download our Permaculture Comparison Chart to compare specifics of these two programs.

Secure Your Seat in This Popular Program

Our Permaculture Design Certificate is one of our most popular programs and it often fills to capacity before the course starts. We launched the PRO option in September and had a full cohort in both options.
